Online and opening our first shop in Kensington, London, just a few yards from Portobello Road, in September 2010!

Libertinesque (formerly known as La Black Basque) is growing steadily thanks to our careful and considered choices of quality designer cross-over fetish clothes, sexy underwear, club wear, and shoes. The collections epitomise our tag-line "seriously sexy to faintly fetish", and they appeal to guys and girls from all walks of life, not only to those from fetish, gay, and swinging alternative lifestyles. Our dresses have been worn to parties at the local pub and to major 'red carpet' events, as well as to most of the London clubs.

Barry and I understand only too well the importance of giving a high standard of customer care – in our previous lives we held various senior management roles and actively promoted a ‘treat everyone as you want to be treated’ ethos – something which we feel is sadly becoming a diminishing priority to many. Therefore, we both work very hard to offer the best possible personal customer service we can and have tried to create a shopping experience that gives satisfaction, quality and value for money.

Being different, and interesting, is also important to us and we make no apology for our taste and style; having grown weary with the offerings of the High Street shops and the hundreds of websites each competing in a price war over the same 'cheap and cheerful' products, we hope you will love our choices of clothes and shoes. They represent the cream of sexiness: from French designer Patrice Catanzaro, whose breathtaking collections are quite irresistible and unusual, to the fetish shoes and boots of Ainsley-t, designed and manufactured in Italy.

Our good friend, Stuart Thom of Ainsley-t, searched in vain for stylish shoes with a real fetish twist but couldn't find any to suit so he created his own small collection. From black dominatrix boots complete with whips, cuffs and rowel-wheel to thigh-high platform boots with a butt-plug heel, and black patent stilettos with a ball gag zipped around the left shoe, you will not find any shoes anywhere else to match the quality of design and manufacture. They are simply stunning.

So Libertinesque is now on the map as THE place to buy high quality, imaginative, unusual clothes and shoes, and where you can be sure of the best level of service and personal attention. We are opening the first Libertinesque shop in London in the late summer of 2010 so keep watching the website for the opening date!

Not only do we have this website full of fabulous clothes and shoes but we also organise our own parties and events. This year we held quite a few fashion shows in the London Clubs which have been very well received, and during 2011 we are linking up with Tim Woodward and Skin Two to present 4 feature events in the UK and the USA. Parties and soirées of a very fashionable and exclusive nature will be taking place in February, April, July and September - the details of which are currently being finalised but as soon as they are confirmed I will update our Events page.
